How We Choose the Shops We Host

At Driftwood Customs, we're not trying to become the biggest online merch marketplace. We're building something more personal.

We partner with brands, gyms, restaurants, events, nonprofits, surf shops, crews, and local businesses that align with the kind of community we actually want to represent — coastal, authentic, hard-working, and quality-focused.

Not every shop makes it onto our platform, and that's intentional.

We Care About the Brand Behind the Logo

Anyone can throw a logo on a t-shirt. We care more about the people behind it.

When we decide to host a shop, we look for businesses and organizations that genuinely care about their customers, members, employees, or community. Whether it's a local restaurant, a fitness community, a fishing charter, or a charity event, we want every hosted shop to feel real — not mass-produced.

If your brand has a story, a loyal community, and pride behind what you do, that matters to us.

Quality Over Quantity

We don't want hundreds of random stores filled with low-quality products.

We'd rather build a smaller collection of shops that we're proud to stand behind.

That means:

  • Premium apparel options
  • Thoughtful product selection
  • Clean branding
  • Reliable fulfillment
  • Comfortable, wearable gear people actually want to keep wearing

From bamboo hoodies and lightweight performance shirts to custom hats and coastal-inspired apparel, we focus on products that match the lifestyle and identity of the brands we work with.

We Look for Long-Term Partnerships

The best merch programs aren't one-time orders.

We love working with businesses that want to grow something over time — seasonal drops, employee gear, event merchandise, member apparel, retail collections, or ongoing online shops.

Our goal is to become an extension of your brand, not just another print shop.

That means helping with:

  • Product recommendations
  • Design direction
  • Online storefront hosting
  • Order fulfillment
  • Limited-run drops
  • Special event merchandise
  • Reorders and inventory planning

Community Matters

We especially love partnering with:

  • Coastal and outdoor brands
  • Gyms and fitness communities
  • Restaurants and bars
  • Surf, boating, and fishing businesses
  • Local events and festivals
  • Charity organizations
  • Small businesses with strong communities

If your business brings people together, there's a good chance we'll be interested in working together.

We Want Shops to Feel Authentic

Every hosted shop should feel like its own brand experience — not a copy-and-paste template.

We work to match the feel of the business:

  • A surf shop should feel laid back and coastal
  • A gym should feel athletic and performance-driven
  • A restaurant should feel connected to its atmosphere and culture
  • A charity shop should feel meaningful and community-centered

That's why we keep our hosted shops curated instead of opening the doors to everyone.

Why This Matters

At the end of the day, your merch represents your brand.

We take that seriously.

When someone orders from a hosted shop through Driftwood Customs, we want them to feel like they're getting something thoughtfully made — not just another generic printed shirt.

Because good merch should feel like part of the lifestyle, not just advertising.
